Jointly Create a Bright Future for the High-Quality Development of the Foundry Industry —— A Record of the 10th Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum
Based on the strategic deployment of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to "accelerate the advancement of new-type industrialization and promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry", the 10th Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum, with the theme of "Innovation·Intelligence·Green", was successfully held in Ningbo on September 25, 2025. The forum actively responded to the call of the times for "upgrading standards to lead industrial upgrading and empowering traditional manufacturing with digital intelligence and green development". Nearly 700 industry representatives gathered in Ningbo, exploring directions together based on policies and opening a new chapter together with technology as the key. Despite the obstacles caused by the typhoon, the industry's belief in moving forward hand in hand and jointly drawing a blueprint has grown even stronger.
As a high-quality exchange and docking platform for the transformation, upgrading and innovative development of the foundry industry, the Foundry Industry Innovation and Development Forum, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, has been committed to guiding the industry towards high-end, intelligent and green development since its first session in September 2016. It not only builds an efficient docking bridge for foundry enterprises and their upstream and downstream counterparts, but also plays a key role in accelerating the conversion of old and new driving forces in the industry and deepening cross-field collaborative development. After ten years of unremitting efforts, the forum has evolved from an "ideological highland" for industry exchanges to a "strategic engine" leading technological transformation and mapping out development blueprints, with its influence continuing to rise.
Full of passion and radiance, we forge ahead with determination. This forum struck up a comprehensive melody around the theme of "Innovation·Intelligence·Green" — the main forum offered a far-sighted vision, four parallel sub-forums delved into in-depth discussions, and multiple on-site inspection routes unfolded simultaneously. Nearly 40 special reports sparked ideological exchanges, while visits to enterprises verified practical experiences, presenting, in an all-round and multi-dimensional manner, the new vitality bursting forth in China's foundry industry in terms of innovation-driven development, intelligent manufacturing, regional collaboration, and green growth.
Old friends and new acquaintances gathered to renew friendships; enthusiastic exchanges sparked inspirations. The hurried footsteps, focused eyes, and frequently flashing camera lenses together froze the most touching industry panorama of this autumn. In the golden September, a new type of strength derived from innovative practices converged and surged in Ningbo, a city known as "a repository of ancient and modern wisdom, a port connecting the world". This not only consolidates the foundation of the industry but also strongly propels China's foundry sector from being large to becoming strong, stepping into a brand-new future of high-quality development.
